Well, I think it sounds exciting&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sidewaysthoughts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Readings_and_cases_in_sustainable_marketing11.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1528\" title=\"Readings and cases in sustainable marketing\" alt=\"Readings and cases in sustainable marketing\" src=\"https:\/\/sidewaysthoughts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Readings_and_cases_in_sustainable_marketing1-1024x685.jpg\" width=\"710\" height=\"474\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>A contributing author based on the contribution of others<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1529\" title=\"DSC_2959 Chads sustainable marketing book case study\" alt=\"DSC_2959 Chads sustainable marketing book case study\" src=\"https:\/\/sidewaysthoughts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/DSC_2959-Chads-sustainable-marketing-book-case-study1-1024x685.jpg\" width=\"710\" height=\"474\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For those of you who have had any sort of academic experience involving a textbook, it is unlikely that you recall the author or editor.\u00a0 It is even less likely that you gave the list of contributors more than a passing glance.\u00a0 Let me tell you, that all changes when you see your name on the list.<\/p>\n<p>I contacted <a title=\"La Trobe University, Melbourne\" href=\"http:\/\/www.latrobe.edu.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LaTrobe University<\/a> lecturer \u00a0<a title=\"Dr Clare D'Souza\" href=\"http:\/\/www.latrobe.edu.au\/law\/about\/staff\/profile?uname=cmdsouza\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr.\u00a0Clare D\u2019Souza<\/a> as part of my preparation for the <a title=\"My Pizza Personality\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mypizzapersonality.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">My Pizza Personality<\/a> project a few years back.\u00a0 Clare made my project possible based on her input from her <a title=\"Research Output for Clare D`Souza\" href=\"http:\/\/www.deakin.edu.au\/research\/admin\/pubs\/reports\/database\/dynamic\/output\/person\/person.php?person_code=dsouzcl&amp;cat_code=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">extensive research<\/a> in green marketing, labelling and the nature of convenience purchases.\u00a0 As the project wrapped up, Clare mentioned she was putting together a book on sustainable marketing and asked if I wanted to contribute. \u00a0I said yes, and now my name stares back at me in print.<\/p>\n<p>As is the way with many things in my life, the project would not have seen the light of day without <a title=\"Theresa Renando at Flavor Yellow\" href=\"http:\/\/flavoryellow.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Theresa Renando<\/a>.\u00a0 Not only did her encouragement keep me going as I pushed against deadlines, the project would be nothing if not for her artwork and illustrations.<\/p>\n<p>I am also grateful to my friends, family, and colleagues who put up with my ceaseless promotion of the project.\u00a0 Thanks to their efforts and a small degree of twitter spam, I was able to get my first 700 responses in a matter of weeks.\u00a0 In keeping with my Capriccioso personality, my interests have focused elsewhere but my gratitude remains.<\/p>\n<h2>So now what?<\/h2>\n<p>The My Pizza Personality project started in 2010 as a research project for my Masters with the <a title=\"Australian College of Applied Psychology\" href=\"http:\/\/www.acap.edu.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Australian College of Applied Psychology<\/a>. \u00a0You can read <a title=\"The story behind My Pizza Personality\" href=\"https:\/\/sidewaysthoughts.com\/blog\/index.php\/2010\/05\/the-story-behind-my-pizza-personality\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the background<\/a>, a story about how the <a title=\"Do you want spam on your pizza personality?
